Re: Trimaran Facts and Opinions

We've recently sold a cruising tri (10 meter, but a smallish one as it's a folder) as the women in the family each want their own berth (darn those women!) and with a folding tri - that just doesn't exist. Maybe an older style Cross, Marples, Brown style - but even then the berths aren't "private". I'm guessing a Cat is in my future.

Re: Trimaran Facts and Opinions

I am having a Corsair 37' Trimaran built now should arrive in a month. I like the idea of a tri at this size as it is easy to handle, not too big and not too small. Also I can day sail out to places I would never be able to do on a cat or tri. Also we have a lot of reef around here so I can get into little atolls or pull it up to a beach and kiteboard. Easier to clean than a Cat, sleeps 6 which is more than I want on the boat anyways. Systems are easy to maintain. One bathroom instead of 2-4 on a Cat. Just enough and not too much sums it up for me.

Re: Trimaran Facts and Opinions

As far as living space, I used to live on a 38' tri and now we're cruising a 39' mono. We have wayyyyyy more space on this boat than on the tri.
