. Worth the time and effort to drill holes in hull to size, then drill oversize and cast fill w/ epoxy
, then drill to size to form a sealed anulus ring around the fastener. These fittings are all under load and WILL LEAK. Oversize backing washers also good idea. Having said all that (in case you've not done your installation
yet) I have to say that, were I doing it today, I'd look for/figure out a non-metallic, synthetic solution to the whole thing. Epoxy-embedded Dyneema
loops or something like that. Not going to tear mine off though!
