Theoretically Speaking

Hello: I'm new to the site, but an occasional visitor. I have a question for those who know. Theoretically speaking:

I have designed (using plyboat 2.1) a hull for a 27' double canoe. The WSA to Sail area is 2.5; B/LWL ratio is 12; Sail area to displacement is about 20+; Lateral Surface Area is around 12% of sail area; Has a narrow entry; block coefficient .64; freeboard is 11% of LOA.

Based on this data is there any reason this hull won't perform well.

Honestly, I think you'll get a set of generally better informed responses at the boat designers forum.

Check your prismatic coefficient and make sure, your LWL/BC is 2.1-2.2. BC is beam between centerlines.
