Hear, hear! It seems to us that the greatest ongoing (as in no sign of improvement) sin was thread drift...and now it seems that sin is enough to trigger the unseen control levers above us all...

Re: The Cons of Owning a Catamaran

At least Godwins law wasn't proven on this occasion....

Quote:
Godwin's law (also known as Godwin's Rule of Nazi Analogies or Godwin's Law of Nazi Analogies[1][2]) is a humorous observation made by Mike Godwin in 1990[2] that has become an Internet adage. It states: "As an online discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches 1."[2][3] In other words, Godwin observed that, given enough time, in any online discussion—regardless of topic or scope—someone inevitably criticizes some point made in the discussion by comparing it to beliefs held by Hitler and the Nazis.
Few things in life cause issues:

a. Money
b. Jealousy
c. Alcohol

In this case the problem is caused by b. Jealousy.

CATS RULE!!!

Thank you all for your help, without bias, D&D,Impi,Whatsupdoc and Lagoon4us.....and too all.
Maybe a forum for us newbies for the "owning and buying of new and used cats with sailing hints for beginners" would be appreciated.
Have actually enjoyed your company here.
All the best,
Peter and Sue

Since I am depriving you of the fun of fighting over catamarans, perhaps you could use the valuable moments I have saved you to have another look at the rules. The link is at the top of this page

Please do us a favor and close it! The topic has now drifted to RVs !

Yep, I agree, Close it. From cons of catamarans, we have drifted to racing multihulls, RVs and who knows what else.
I sincerely thank all those who offered tremendously helpful advice. Mr B, I especially appreciate your firsthand account, I gained a good deal from your posts.

Biggest con to me is the increasing popularity is taking up multihull berths making it harder to get one on my travels.
So can everyone please listen to mono wisdom and not buy any more cats,I need empty berths for my cat!
