Swap NZ House for Catamaran?

We're just curious to see if any of you have heard of boat for house swapping, either temporary (1: becoming each other's tenant for a few years) or for good (2: we exchange property titles + payment of the difference in value)
I'm not even sure option 1 is possible from a legal standpoint. If it were, that would mean saving tens of thousands of dollars in taxes (over selling and buying)

Although it's probably a very, very long shot, is there anyone out there, or do you know anyone who could be interested in spending 3-4 years in New Zealand while we sail their 38-46 ft catamaran from France or the Mediterranean Sea to New Zealand ?

The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence... our house is nestled in a green sea of native forest, with no visible neighbours, 30 minutes' walk from Wellington CBD (50 minutes' walk from the marina). Any chance to tempt a family who would crave green horizons after a few years at sea ?

How did it go, guys? I would love to exchange one of our real estates for CATAMARAN

Hi, guys

Have you found somebody to exchange your house? I found your ads, as my husband and I, were looking for exchanging one or several real estate properties for a catamaran...
We have two condos (2 bedrooms, 2 baths) in Orlando Florida and a land in Costa Rica...

Would love to know if it's a possible task to find people to trade...tell us if you got any success please!

We wish you good luck, guys.

you can write or call us in US or Canada: (407) 915 45 98 or (514) 842 99 00

Hi Sasha,
No, not a single contact in 18 months. It's a long shot... Do you know specialised sites where I could post such an offer ?
Cheers
Olivier

I have just seen your message on this website. We own a 52 feet yacht, monohull steel, Thomas Colvin design, junk rigged schooner. We are looking for a differant lifestyle after many years on the water. The boat has a insurance valuation of 420000 australian dollars. The vessel is presented in immaculate condition after a major refit 2 years ago.kgetaz@gmail.com

Re: Swap NZ House for Catamaran?

Hi, I own a Kennex 445, (all paid for) have lived aboard 11 years now, and have sailed tens of thousands of NM both single handed and with crew. I figure the fair market value at $250k and would consider a permanent swap for either one house of equal value or two houses of total equal value, located on the Florida Treasure Coast in or near Stuart, Fl. or Port Saint Lucie, Fl.
