Spirited 380

Hi, any owners of Spirited 380's are welcome to get in contact via this site, or via email jennieco@optusnet.com.au. We are interested to exchange ideas on improvements. There's 7 or 8 now sailing as of Feb 2009. The general comment is the design is great, with excellent sailing performace. Concerns being raised so far: engine hatches leaking, failing fan belts on the Nanni's, coolant leaks, gearbox problems (clutches), cracked heat exchangers, and saildrive leg anodes. Factual, non-emotional feedback is very welcome. I don't know if anyone has tried Yanmars yet in the 380 - would be interested to compare notes.

Thank's for the feedback to the email address above. Information exchange is underway and communication flowing by direct email. Summary so far: design is excellent. The rig is excellent. Most mechanical issues can be addressed during the build phase by comparing notes with other builders.
