Wife and I retired this month and have been planning our new adventure for quite some time. The stars must be in perfect alignment since we just negotiated for a 98
Manta 40 within several weeks of receiving an offer for our home. Our heads are still spinning since we are moving some furniture and other items to
Texas from Tn. and the
Manta we have under
contract is in Charleston. Massive garage
sale and just
sold one of our cars.
This was the first Manta we had seen and loved the
boat. I realize a lot of the newer boats are more open from the settee to the
cockpit but they were usually out of
budget. We loved the layout of the Manta and really wanted an owners version instead of the typical
charter boat layout.
We should be on the boat by mid July if the
survey comes back with minor issues. It's amazing how fast you can fill up a house with stuff. We have all the stress of selling a home and
buying the boat but eliminating all of the unnecessary possessions seems to have a calming affect.
Time for a huge change from a 3k sq ft home to a 40 ft yacht!
