Solar Panels Mounting Place

Dear fellow sailors,

i want to add solar panels to my Lagoon 410. I was wondering where to put them. I thought about 4 * 130 W Kyocera panels.
Most solar panels are above the davits. But could you also put them above the bimini and walk over them or will they crack.

I don't think you want to walk on them. A big reason you find them over the davits is to reduce shading of the panels, which will happen if they are on the bimini thanks to the boom and main.

your first consideration should be shadows. even a small shadow, such as that cast by a backstay, can cause a huge loss of output for those panels.
