So, Anyone Own a 40-50' Cat on the Chesapeake, Who . . .

wouldn't mind lettting us take a quick peak at your boat?? (and we'd be happy to come bearing gifts of a six pack or bottle of vino for your trouble)

We are gearing up to purchase something within the next 12 months, but there are not a whole lot of options for seeing different catamarans here in Chicago, so we were hoping to see a few boats and narrow the field while we attend the boat show in Annapolis on Oct 8 & 9. We know we're not buying new, and are probably going to end up with a cat in the 40-50 ft range, 5-15 years old, and somewhere between $250-$400k. So the Lagoons, FPs, Outremer, Voyage, older Privileges, older Catanas, Prouts etc. are all of interest to us.

I know that sometimes there has been a used multi-hull 'show' (really just a collection of boats currently on the market) that was organized to coincide with the main boat show, but I have not seen anything like that for this year's event.

Cheers- Matt

Some of the brands you type are fine vessels. I wouldn't rule out custom cold molded though. It is what I have, and if & when I build new. I will go with cold molded again......i2f

i2f- Thanks for the that. We're not ruling anything out at this point, and that's kinda the point behind meeting some folks are checking out their boats: to get an idea of what works for other folks and what will work for us.

The boats I listed were just some of the more common ones we're likely to find offered for sale in our price range- not neccesarily any sort of preference on our part.

Give Voyage Yachts a call in Annapolis, They have headquarters there and also have a marina that might have some used cats to show you.
