Smallish Cat With Cabin For Lake Sailing ?

Does any company make a 21-30ft Catamaran with a cabin ?
This is about the closest thing I've found.

The answer is yes....... lots of them
The questions are: how much do you want to pay and how far will you travel for one..?

You might want to consider a Folding Tri like corsair 24 or 28, or dragonfly or Telstar

Smallish Cat With Cabin For Lake Sailing ?

I'll have to check those out, thanks ! I thought about going monohull for lake cruising then when I was ready for ocean I'd switch to a cat. But my lake is shallow and 2.5' draft and under would be ideal so I figured skip the mono step if I could and go straight for the cat.

I saw a Solaris Sunbeam advertised in Idaho. It looks like a nice little catamaran. It was on Craigslist.org.

The Tomcats are really cool boats.
TomCat Boats Designer & Manufacturer of Exceptional Catamarans

The early Geminis were only about 30' in the beginning. They grew longer but the 14' beam stayed the same. which means they can be trucked. They draw only 18" with the centerboards up. Lots of Gems for sale. They have made almost 1200!

I almost bought a Maine Cat 30, the owner decided not to sell. Few and far between on the west coast.

Re: Smallish Cat With Cabin For Lake Sailing ?

We have a TomCat 6.2, ( 20'3" length) but it is more of a camper experience. There is a portable head but no galley. It is also trailerable. We keep it in a full service marina. We day cruise on Barnegat Bay in NJ, so no cabin is necessary. You may want to look at the TomCat 9.7, but the uplift in cost is significant.

Re: Smallish Cat With Cabin For Lake Sailing ?

Consider the Stiletto 27. Not muchnof a cabin , but many have been customized for cruising, great performance, great resale value, and simple to fix. I,ve cruised one for weeks. Pretty available in the SE.
