Silltte drive leg leak

I have 2004 Gemini 105c that leaks green oily fluid. Have recently replaced gaiter, and don't know where to go next. Any ideas?

The most common places to leak are the prop seal but that would be down the bottom and I'm guessing you're seeing it up top - so more likely the input shaft seal - its a PITA to get to and needs the leg to come off the boat

Thank you. As it turns out, I'm pretty convinced that almost everything about the drive leg is a pita :-)

Re: Silltte drive leg leak

Very true - they require lots of greasing and maintenance and are poorly designed in many respects (like putting stainless bolts direct in to an aluminium body) but they do allow great manoeuvrability and can come out of the water whilst sailing and of course they are easy to access when work needs doing unlike a sail drive or prop shaft

All true, especially the amazing maneuverability (as long as u remember to do 90% of it in reverse!)
