Seen on Lagoon price sheet....Inflatable pool!!

I was perusing the 2015 price sheet for new Lagoon cats (dreaming...) and came across an odd option under "Deck Gear"...to me at least...

INFLATABLE SWIMMING POOL with BLOWER...$8387

Anyone have this? I mean isn't the cat surrounded by water? Why a pool???

Their customers have an aversion to seaweed?

Flipped if I know, it does seem somewhat odd, doesn't it?

Could be useful in croc country though. We decided long ago that an inflatable kid's paddling pool might be handy when we go to the Kimberlies.

I would have never thought of that. Alligators in Florida usually stay in fresh water. Sharks are more of an issue, but frankly it is more psychological than real.

I have seen a photo of it somewhere and it seems like a lot of work and storage.

And then there's the great North American Crocodile which appears to be reproducing at a rapid rate. They also seem to be venturing out of their normal habitat.

Yep... One doesn't need to spend $8K plus however:

Above about $50 USD. Inflate it and secure it floating along side. Partially fill with seawater (or rain) and the sun will heat it nicely. A small version set up on the foredeck makes a nice bath tub if one has the water capacity (or a water maker).

BTDT...

Re: Seen on Lagoon price sheet....Inflatable pool!!

These are used widely in the Chesapeake Bay, where sea nettles make swimming or getting into the water impossible for several months of the year. Also, in New England, the jellyfish can get so thick as to make getting into the water impossible without a guarantee of several painful stings.

The concept is not ridiculous, but the price seems to be.

Yep, sea nettles can be a real pain in some areas.
