Re: Seawind V Lagoon, Leopard, Fountaine Pajot

Maybe the French attitude at Lagoon for warranty has finally pissed off even Moorings/Sunsail owners, lets hope so then there may be a change for the good.....

Cheers Frank

We were just kicking back having a coffee in the old city at Trogir and Viv said 'who woulda thought a Wynnum boy would be sitting here waiting to get the keys for our boat?'

A surreal adventure and we're loving every step.

Thanks and cheers.
Oh by the way iv'e checked out around nine Lagoons on slips over here in three different marina's and all there thru-hulls were perfect/pristine ...... So much rumour mongering rubbish at times......

All of mine are fine,as well as no blistering etc.
What a load of lies some like to try and spread.
I am pretty sure most can see through the rot.
Sometimes i still sit on mine and wonder if its really happening.
In 2000 i did not have $1 to my name, hard work and a real dream is a powerful mix

Just reading in issue seven just recieved of the Lagoon Magazine that in November 2011 the 200th Lagoon 400 was produced, and 100 of the Lagoon 450, hmmm 200, must have something going for them.

Some would have you think they are unseaworthy pieces of junk.
Must be a lot of silly buyers with too much money then.
They sell so many because they are a great boat in so many ways.
Hard to beat.

Good waves over easter with about 100 mal riders,10 stand up paddle boarders and a few goat bots for good measure.no waves since though.
Very cool picking up a new boat in France, one day too for us i hope.

Re: Seawind V Lagoon, Leopard, Fountaine Pajot

The ones i looked at had been sanded ready for undercoat and antufoul, they were solid of the same colour without gouging or any dodgy shapes. All the marinas here are dewinterising the clients boats, there methods are far beyond travel lifts and they are capable of slipping many boats in a day.
I crawled through three 440's and internally the only valves i saw that i wasn't TOTALLY confident in were some drain valves that were above water.
Arm chair sailors tend to troll to get a reaction saying things that they would never say in your presence, quite sad lonely people.
We have worked hard to be where we are now our armchair is our boat and our boat is a Lagoon.
Seawinds are great coastal boats and i'm sure if they ever re-design to accomodate ocean sailing they will do it well.
Pajot's ...We didn't like the 'ironing board' shaped interior benches nor the rounded decks aft that would be dangerous in a seaway...
Just our preferences.... Viva la Difference!!!!!
