Seawind 1160 Line Drawing Artwork

In case any other 1160 owners out there need a clean line drawing I have put one together to use for t-shirts.

Do they really have that much overhang at the stern?

I thought it was more like this:

Sorry , but the extended transoms on the 1160 look so very ugly, prefer the original version

For my boat it is accurate, since my 1160 has three foot extensions on the hulls. Photos are on my blog.

Fair enough, I personally like the look but everyone has their preferences. However, in my opinion the added 0.5 to 1.0 knots and easier ability to get aboard from the dingy or after swimming further trumps any aesthetic concerns.

Looks like a perfect weekend for Catalina. Have a great weekend! I'll be sailing next weekend South from Ensenada for a few nights anchoring out. If you ever get down this way give us a shout. Chris and Jean

Hi, we will close on a 2005 Seawind 1160 next week. She has been known as Cool Runnins, has anybody run into her or have any info on her. Not sure how to interpret HIN # relative to hull #. She will be known in the future as Gratitude. Currently in St Augustine fl. Not sure of hull lines in stern.

Ivor, congratulations! Back when I was looking for an 1160 I did exchange a few emails with the previous owner of Cool Runnings. A very nice guy who was very hopeful. He is on this site, I suggest doing a search and reaching out to him. I'm betting he can give you some good notes about the boat.

Re: Seawind 1160 Line Drawing Artwork

Thanks for the input on Cool Runnins. I would definitely like to discuss her with either of her two former owners. I had read the earlier discussions and the price point shifted significantly after sitting at the dock for 2.5 years. Cheers
