Searunner engine sled plans

Hello,
I'm looking for a set of construction plans for the outboard engine sled found on some examples of Jim Brown's Searunner trimaran. I've seen enough of them on so many different boats that there must be plans rather than that they all be one-off. I currently power a Marples Fast Cruiser 41 by outboard but dislike the stiff-leg design that I have. I'd appreciate any leads, photos, etc..

Post here or to pwratch@hotmail.com

Thanks!

Just out of curiosity, have you contacted John Marples? He has, I think, all the plans. I ordered a complete set for a 34' Searunner but you can order just the sheets you need too.

In truth, I have not contacted John Marples yet though I did browse his sight. I know from some personal experience that people who publish plans for almost anything of interest tend to get inundated with time-sucking queries by phone, mail, even people showing up at their door so I generally try almost all other tacks before I ping a designer. As my intended use is for a different boat, I don't need plans per se as much as I could use documentation like construction photos and the like. I have a fair amount of experience in boat construction so none of this is a project-killer. Just like to do my homework first. Thanks for the response though.

Pages 258-259 of THE SEARUNNER CONSTRUCTION MANUAL (1971 edition) has photos with and without the outboard. Contact John Marples at Marples Marine, Inc., 17240 Hillcrest Avenue, Sonoma, CA 95476. If he can't provide a copy of the relevant pages, get his permission and I'll send you some myself.

Let me know if you strike out. I have all the plans. I believe the sled is among them.
