Sea Breeze

I am expecting to cruise in a tropical area with a 43' catamaran - the central Philippines - likely the interior islands without venturing into the Pacific Ocean or the South China Sea. Winds tend to be relatively light. Since I am mainly interested in sailing around each of the large islands - Negros, Cebu, Panay, Bohol, etc. - I hope to be able to use the thermal effect caused by the island that produces an onshore breeze in order to sail along the coastline. I am curious as to what might be the best head sail for reaching in light wind and/or the most cost effective. There seem to be a bewildering array of possible sails with really strange names:
1) a 'drifter'
2) a cruising 'chute'
3) an asymmetrical 'chute' – blooper?
4) a 'Code Zero'
5) a 'blast reacher'
6) a spinnaker
7) a genaker
8) a 'multi purpose radial head sail' (MPR)
9) screecher / screacher
10) kite
11) something I don't know

The boat is currently going to be rigged with: 1) a large genoa on a center line stay with the bottom attached to an inverted 'Y' arrangement; 2) a half height jib; 3) the head sail as above; and 4) possibly a small, loose foot main. The mast is about 42' high above the salon roof.
