Anyone have any experiance in this part of the Caribbean? Is it more like the Carribean Islands or the Bahamas?

Ae there services/restaurants/bars for stopping in at along the coast?
Is there a charter organisation that operates in the area?

Re: Sailing Panama Caribbean Side

Bob,
Colon is a big centre. Then heading east there are several refuges and even marinas. These include the famous bay of Portobello -anchorage only but fair size town, most facilities. Further is Panamarina, and Puerto /Isla Linton. Even further is Green turtle cay marina. The next stop are the wonderful san blas islands where you can spend ages exploring but here one operates with the culture of the Kuna indians. I operate charters out here. google YachtLatina
