??? Why so bitter ???

Please you let us all know when you've got everything together and are out cruising so its OK for the rest of us to go out and 'sail the shiny seas' without the dark cloud of resentment and jealousy following us.

Bitter? Who me? I don't know what you're talking about. Don't know where you're getting that from. Was it something I said that mumbled your bumbles?

Do you have a banana?

I guess the sweet banana will offset some of your bitterness.

Exactly! I love the Delos video's, but I dont send them money because I am putting every penny I earn toward doing what they are doing. I'm sure they would understand

What I find perplexing is this apparent need for people to put down success. Best to avoid those kind of people all together.

It's a $300-500k boat, and no money to replace the rigging? Come on???? Now we have a 3 part series on rigging when the skipper said they didn't have the money. Now a series on cats vs. monos?

Hence my skepticism i.e. accusation of "milking it."
Blimey, you don't have to contribute, and you don't have to watch!

you MayBE mysogonystic yourself.....

I have seen every video from SVDelos at least twice, except the most recent four, including the mono v. cat video. I have only watched those once.
Maybe this "her" you are refering to did not want to jump into the conversation because she might not have known as much as the "man" that was being interviewed.
You do know what misanthropy is? Maybe she is not one of "those"....
I do not intend to sound critical, but hearing people complain about mysogony without realizing that there is an equal yet opposite.......

Re: S/V Delos discusses mono vs. cat with cruising couple.

I love watchong thier videos but don't find these last ones, interviews, that great. To stiff just sitting down. Should happen more to not get bored.

I dont know if it was the rum or not, but the man on the catana kept interrupting his wife over and over again when she tried to say something. .

Re: S/V Delos discusses mono vs. cat with cruising couple.

My wife given a couple of beverages will likely talk over the top of me in any social situation, she certainly isn't sexist or anything, she just gets excited, likes to talk and after all it's only me she's interrupting

I haven't seen the video but making judgements on someone's character in a few minutes of (drunk?) footage seems somewhat dumb.

Is this the mob that struts around in a bikini or less, celebrate degrading rituals and frequently appear to drink to excess?

Why is a monohull so much better than a capsized multihull: They do not make a mess and endanger other boats, after sinking they are gone. Forever (mostly).

Re: S/V Delos discusses mono vs. cat with cruising couple.

Finally got around to watching them tonight. Mirrors numerous conversations I've had over the past few years in anchorages with cat and mono drivers.

They're not their usual content, but I think for the audience they're aimed at they're fine. They're branching out and broadening their brand a bit. Once again, good on them.

Based on the way a number of threads on CF have recently gone, I'd actually suggest a newbie wondering about monos vs cats would likely learn more from that video than asking a question here. They'd certainly come away afterwards with a better impression of the average cruiser as they'd avoid experiencing the bickering.
