Rigged !
You'd think after launching it would all be cruising and laying about in the sun, but it's still work in the backyard for me...
Got all the neighbours up at 6am for some excercise...
Just need sails now...
After we had moved the boat back to it's normal berth, had secured the rig and were walking away from it, someone over at the fishing trawlers dropped what must have been a load of scaffolding with a huge "CLANG!". Sounded just like a new mast falling over.
I just about **** myself.

Uh oh. I see a problem in the pics. Sorry, too late.
Minor though. Make the masthead unsuitable for birds. Boobies, Frigates, Pelicans....I see you've made it easy for them by offsetting the VHF whip, or something. Better deal with it now than every morning during your cruise. My whip is right close to the windex which is highly annoying to birds, and there's no other room to roost because of other junk. They move to the next boat.
Just a tip. Good work. She's a beautiful stick.

Congrats, looks good. Time to go sailing.
One quick thought, cover your bumpers with terry cloth or felt. The plastic rubbing against the paint will ruin the paint job.

It's not in the pics, but there's a length of 100lb fishing line that goes from the front of the masthead, over the anchor light, to the back. I'm hoping this will deter birds.

Good advice. Trouble is, the covers for the fenders cost more than the fenders do! I've been trying to find a cheap way of doing it.
But really, the plan is not to be in marinas much at all.

We get thriftshop used sweetshirts turned inside out (fleece out) for the round bumpers and terry cloth for the tubular bumpers and hand stitch those.
Have fun, looks great!

I have used these type before
Whitworths Marine: Foam Fender - Large
They dont mark the paint and make a good cushion,
everything on a multi should do 2 jobs if possible
Well done with the rig
