Recognize this Cat?
We were at Turtle Cove on Providenciales yesterday for lunch, and I spotted this little catamaran across the marina:
Because of the size, at first I thought it was a Gemini 105. It is sitting in a very shallow area, and fits in a standard slip, etc. But then I started looking at it, and realized I didn't know the boat. So we hiked over on the chance I could read the manufacturer or model on the hull if I was closer. But no luck:
Do any of you guys recognize this model? I have been keeping my eyes open for a used Gemini at the right price, but this would appear to be an alternative. If I knew what to look for.

If you go to Office of Science and Technology and enter Prime Time in the vessel name box, you will be presented with a list a mile long. But if you make a few assumptions, such as: newer, beamier, shallower draft, lower tonnage - you can winnow it down. It looked to me like numbers 128 and 131 are candidates, but there is too little information there to know.
If you were curious enough to want to contact the owners, though, you could write them a letter and ask if the vessel in Provo is theirs. Of course, this assumes it's a USCG documented vessel; if it isn't, none of the above applies.
Sorry, that's the best I can offer. Good luck.

It is a Victory Catamaran, I believe. I saw one for sale not long ago and thought it looked like a very nice boat from the pictures anyway.

Ah, yes!! Thank you! I found it, using your info. It's a Victory 35, and from what I can see so far, very much a possible alternative to a Gemini 105. Got some nice stuff.

Yeah, I liked it too which is why it stuck in my head. I am hoping to buy a smaller cat someday myself. I like the Gemini as well but I really think I want two engines.

I want two engines, too, but in a sail boat at least it's not as critical. Right now we are running a 25 ft. Contender center console power boat with one outboard, and that makes me more nervous. There is NO alternate form of power.
Where we live, (TCI) the shallow draft and narrow beam of the Gemini would be hard to beat. I don't like the outdrive, though. I would prefer an outboard to that. Then you get into the whole thing with gasoline vs. diesel, though. Real tradeoffs.
Guess with just one main engine, you could always tow it with the dinghy...

It is a Victory 35. We have owned a Victory 35 for the last six years and love it. We have lived aboard since 2004 and have been cruising full-time since 2007. You will not find a roomier 35 ft boat.

I have been looking into them. There are nearly nearly as many manufactured as Gemini, of course. They built less than 40, And not for many years now, but it looks like if someone comes across a good deal on a Victory 35, they should grab it.

I meant to say there are NOT nearly as many Victory 35s manufactured as Gemini. I think Gemini has something like a thousand boats out there in the world.

PDQ 32 might be worth looking into. Canadian built (no more), 16' beam, most come with twin 9.9 ob which swing up out of the way. LRC (long range cruiser) model has twin diesels, but are rare.
Cost a little more than Gemini 105s, but IMHO more boat.
Good luck.
