I believe you've encountered "seller's pitch
hyperbole," Privleoplag. It's ad speak for, "This boat practically sails
itself - all you need to do is think
of a destination
and it'll take you there!" It's sort of the nautical equivalent of "water view" in real estate when someone is desperately trying to sell a house that's miles inland from the coast, but if you stand on the upstairs balcony off the guest room and lean wa-a-a-a-a-a-a-y out during the winter when the trees on your neighbor's property have dropped all their leaves, you can actually see something blue in the general direction of the coast if the light is just right.
See . . . EZ, huh?
