PDQ36 salon headroom

I think this is a question only Sandy D. can answer, but it's open to anyone who knows. I can't seem to find the salon headroom height online.
Thanks in advance!

Well, I'm 6'7" (2m) and for a 36' boat it's not all bad.
My family and I chartered one this summer up in Lake Huron for a week.
I definitely had to duck in the salon (but its all about sitting up there), and down below in the galley, I could spread my legs enough to get my head off the ceiling...

My 1993 36 has a slight bump up earlier boats didn't have. I've got just 6' of standing headroom in the middle. I'm 5'11" and my head brushes the overhead at the steps. I measured 6'7" in the hulls at the steps, dropping down to 6'1" in the forward cabins.

If you took out the hanging lockers in the staterooms and used the space for a transverse berth, it could be significantly longer that a full bed. I actually posted those numbers somewhere, but I've slept since then. Maybe I'll have a junior moment soon.

Thanks for both your answers! I'm considering buying a 32, but, never having been on the 36, I think the 32 might feel cramped by comparison. There just aren't a lot of PDQ's out on the left coast. At any rate, the headroom in the salon of the 32 was a concern of mine. I like the boat, but like the open feel of a Seawind a bit more. Price is definitely a consideration though and I might settle for less comfort.

Unless the slider is open, the salon on the PDQ 32 is only about 5'3"

In warm weather, no problem, in the winter, it's cramped.

Good standing headroom everywhere else.

I had a full cockpit enclosure on my 32, and it was quite comfortable in some pretty chilly rainey weather. That meant the slider could remain open. My problem on the 32 wasn't headroom, it was (how shall I put this delicately) girth-room. The doors were narrow! If you have a chance, you should sail both the 32 and the 36. I think the 32 was at least as fast, and a little more responsive! And there was no reason for a traffic jam in the galley.

Thanks for all replies, and thank you Sandy for giving me an idea that hadn't occurred to me: enclose the cockpit area to extend the indoor salon. I'm over 6 feet tall and was worried about morphing into Quasimodo on a boat with limited salon headroom.
It would be easier to find a slip for the 32 as far as my research has indicated. OK, time to decide!
