Has anyone seen one of these in the water or have been on one? Would you buy a boat built in Bulgaria? What turns me on about this BIG cruser is the fact that I can park my bike in the garage.. .. pic 24 & tool room.
I haven't been able to find the factory web site, so if you come across it please link it. Really would like some opinions on how this thing would sail.

Any thoughts on the overall design? Bridge decks look nice and high, forward hull shape looks like it's been thought out.
I've been comparing the weights of other multis CAT MAN DO, it seems to be in the ball park, for a ball park sized unit, and like my old schwinn, red ones go faster.

Actually, if she sits on her waterline, I don't see where there would be much bridgedeck clearance, with lots of wetted surface. I'd think she would pound/slam in some chop and be pretty slow. Relatively narrow hulls, lots of weight, solid foredeck -- I'd think she would hobby-horse quite a bit, but maybe the bowbulbs help to minimize that. But, I'm no yacht designer.

If you're looking to keep the budget under 180K Euros, there are actually some pretty interesting cats & tris around for that price and under that would be a far better sail. Better sailing actually means far more comfort.

There are several good books out there on multihull design, though. Chris White's, Charles Kanter's, Gregor Tarjan just came out with a new one (though I haven't seen it). Might want to check out one or more of them.

Wow, just had a look at those picks again and am just wondering about this strange bit in the hull shape.....very strange shape bulb.

And I'm sorry I still feel she's heavy for her size, 54 ft tri @ 17,000kg empty compared to my 50ft cat @ 4700kg empty, big difference.

If you look at it from the air it looks like a wide monohull. The design is a bit like a military design, under the water. The Navy has a stelth cat that is in experimental stages with a bit of the same odd shape. I'll bet she's smooth though.................................._/)
