That's one big Hobie, seen them, formula 40's and Darts etc going over many times, they go so damn fast it happens in a split second, good thing that cat cruisers are not designed to do that.

I was trying not to laugh, but that one shot of the guy cradled in the main sail was hilarious. Also, the outboard sticking straight up vertical in 1/2 of the shots was funny.

Reminds me of my old Hobie 18. I used to do the same violent things in 30 knots of wind...

What were they thinking with what looks like an old Army cargo net forward and all that weight in bags etc so far forward? As soon as that army net hit the water, they were toast. They kinda got what they were asking for. It still seems bizarre to have an asymmetrical on a smallish catamaran....as small, high aspect rigged cats generate so much apparent wind. Seems like flying something close to the shape of a garbage bag that generates little lift for the drag is bound to do what it did.

yep kind of weird - the only solution in that circumstance is to sheet on the asymmetrical to try and get a bit of lift but it's all a bit of too late.
