, Butterworth, to field one of the questions about why they can't sail these $10,000,000 boats in anything more than a one-meter swell. It was a fairly ridiculous spectacle, all around.
I've told members of our sailing team that if they don't represent the university well, they won't sail. Period. The shame of this regatta
is that our national sailing authorities, and by this I specifically mean US Sailing, haven't got the wherewithal to pull the plug
on syndicates who don't represent their nations well.
What part of "friendly competition between nations" don't these guys get?
