A small hose clamp on the end will keep the cover from sealing against the swage.

A large gauge cable tie at the bottom at the turnbuckle is the answer to allowing them to drain. The key is allowing ventilation. Regards to rattling, never experienced that a maybe it relates to the water retention. And when the cable tie compresses.....replace for all of 20 c AUD!

Simply tape the shroud covers together if you have more than one or tape the cover to the shroud around the top of the cover should solve the problem. It does for us and is easy to remove.
