New Voyage 480 Catamaran

I got to get on the new Voyage 480 yesterday, in Annapolis. I admit up front, that I like Voyage cats. They have taken the 450 and increased the length but also widened the hulls, giving a higher bridge deck clearance. It has been rearranged inside to allow foot entry beds, the showers were very nice and roomy for a 6'3 big guy. The Salon is open and feels like a larger boat. The cockpit is very similar in feel to the 520. Dingy landing areas have been created on the sugar scoops like the larger boats too. These serve as a nice place to sit and enter the water with dive gear on.

First reports are the boats sails very well, I am looking forward to a test sail after the show. I have been told it has the same rig as the 520 has also.

Hope everyone enjoys the show!

G'day CK,
I'm real interested in some of your photos and hearing your report on the performance. The couple of photos I've seen looked really good. But didn't get any detailed shots. So look forward to seeing some pics from you.

I'm interested as well, their website is very poor. It also looks like these boat might be kinda dark inside do to very few and small windows, and hatches.

All of the videos of them sailing, show them sailing with the engines running.

there is plenty of light inside with the overhead hatches in each stateroom. As far as the video's i have not seen them. Are they on the Voyage website? I am told i will be able to go on a sail after the show. I am looking forward to it.

So it will be even slower than a normal voyage catamaran with the wider hulls? I guess maybe not too bad, the 50 is only a little slower than my 34' cat.

Boatguy it is actually faster, and you must be kidding it is not anywhere near an equal comparison. Does your little 34 footer have four staterooms with heads. No comparison ace. move along go start something elsewhere. save you keyboard skills for something useful. As a marine service provider you don't seem very potential customer friendly. Have a great day my friend.

Voyage great boats, looking forward to seeing the 48. Same rig as the 52 will have to check height. The extra sail area will help speed

What 34' boat does? Now that would be an ACE! do you need to go that much it requires 4 heads when offshore on a voyage cat?

I don't need to go that much, but all the girls have their own bathroom, I have beautiful crew, need 4 beds for them and some have to share!
