New to us Simpson cat

I'm hoping someone will have some info about this boat. We purchased it in August but know very little about it. We were told it was built in England, Cruised extensively, and damaged in a hurricane. We believe the boat has had a number of owners since being damaged. Someone repaired the starboard hull, rudder, skeg and keel and did a very nice job. The boat currently resides in Florida. It is a Simpson 13m and the only previous name we know of is Salu.
We would love to know who built it, who repaired it, and any other info anyone may have about it.

Keen to know about the aft cantilever - heavy davit system? or a walk the plank arrangement?

Re: New to us Simpson cat

smj, Thank you for all the pics. Far more than I could have hoped for and very helpful for understanding the scope of damage and quality of repair. I contacted the guy and he also provided a few pics and some info. I'm still hoping to find out who the builder was.
The davits are built into the aft beam and seem very solid. I'm unsure about construction, attachment and weight but I'm glad they are the way they are. I work in a marina as a repair tech and install alot of aftermarket davits that I would not consider perfect. These seem to be better in their simplicity.

Jason,

I've got some mid-project pix of Salu taken Feb 25, 2013. PM me with address if you would like them.
