New Hong Kong Member Seeks Other Lagoon 500 Owners

Just enjoyed a three day trip, anchoring in a bay in east Hong Kong after a good sail in 15kt of wind. No major snags with the boat but we now know that ALLhatches need to be closed when under way after a very large wake caught us all by surprise!
Simpson Marine hosted a party in Clearwater Bay which was very pleasant.
A sail and motor through the harbour rounded off an enjoyable long weekend.
Are there any other Lagoon 500 owners out there to share experiences and avoid my having to re-invent the wheel!

Aloha Bartoon,
Welcome aboard! I don't have a Lagoon 500 but do know that it is a pretty good idea to close the hatches when you get underway no matter what boat you have. I too have had those experiences which make us good learners.
Kind regards,

Hi Paul,

I took the liberty of moving this thread to the multihull section. Lot's of multihull traffic here.

Sounds like you are enjoying the boat.

Hi Paul,

Please share all your experiences with your Lagoon 500. Tell us how she sails ( speed, wind angle, etc ) and handles ?
