An older Manta
38 or 40 might be within your budget
. The interior
layout of the 38/40/42 are all the same, only the bows and transoms have been extended since the 38. All have separate shower
stalls in both heads, and galley
up layout. No exterior wood to maintain either. Many have a washer/dryer too, a great convenience for a live aboard.
Other live aboard considerations: Does it have a rubrail? How is the sun protection in the cockpit
? How much refrigeration
space is there and how well insulated is it? Does it have usable interior storage
, etc. Charter
cats are built with a different set of priorities, so keep this in mind as you look around.
