That is a very nice blog. I like that you named your boat for the polynesian term for "no problem" very cool.

Great to see the boat sailing in the S.P. since those waters are her roots. She is one of my MOST favorite boats here. Thanks for sharing......i2f

Thanks, We will be adding to the blog shortly. We will try and keep it as up to date as possible. I don't plan on going to far back in time with the blog, with regards to the passage. We made the passage in 22 days from Barra de Navidad, Mexico. We had good weather except for the last 4 days. We had 20-25 knts on the beam with 10 ft wave at 5 seconds on the beam. We snapped a rudder 4 days out of Nuku Hiva. I built the rudders, so I had no one to blame but myself. I also felt better when I found out a brand new Lagoon 440 had also lost a rudder in the same conditions. The strongest wind we had was a squall at the start of the ITCZ with about 50 kts of wind. We did 7 knots with bare poles. But here we sit in Fare Huahine... Hope you enjoy the posts to come. Tristan |
