New Catana 59

They say the first one is now done with the boat shows and can be yours for only $2.2 mill. Notice the ultra cool curved daggerboards. Lotsa good pics in that ad. drool.

The lines, I don't know mate. All those converging planes just don't do it for me. It's reminiscent of those ''stealth'' naval vessels. I do like the swept back bows.

At 60ft (and 2.2mil) there is room for design styling, doesn't look like they used any, dare I say it looks 'homebuilt'

I love you guys but totally disagree. It looks badass like a Testarossa. If I buy you one would you change you mind?

Re: New Catana 59

I don't see anything resembling a Testarossa!
I look at the XLR as different yet with style.

Thanks SMJ!
I am still very much in love with her, however I might want to trade up for a bigger, faster, live aboard world cruiser someday...

I did have a look last April in La Grande Motte and she is awesome. So I take it.

But if I had the money I would buy the 5X. A little more "traditional" and in euro 500k less. Safes some for the cruising kitty.

Don't do it! More maintenance and surely less fun to sail.

Re: New Catana 59

So bigger means less fun? Tell that to the Gunboat crowd.
