New Cat

A friend just gave me a very old 16 ft cat. I'm not sure of the brand but it looks a bit like a Solcat. It needs some rigging and TLC but I took it out for a short sail yesterday and I think I'll have lots of fun with it. I have sailed dinghies and large monohulls for many years but this is my first cat. I thought I would ask the experienced people of this board for some tips and information on the differences between sailing a 16 ft monohull and this little cat. I'll be sailing it primarily on local lakes: normal is about a mile across and many miles long. Thanks for any suggestions.
