Nautitech 40 before Bavaria took over

Dear All,

First of all our best wishes to all in this community ; fair winds and lots of fun.

We have sold our 50' mono and decided for a multi finally

Nautitech 40 or 44 with budget of 140 k Euro is these days possible....we do not know enough about these yet so hope to learn a lot in this forum before testing and buying one.

We is ; my wife and myself with our son and his friend(s) visiting. NO charter planning at all.

We can change the interior of the 4 cabin / 2 toilets into a 'owner' version and add some smart parts to extend the small galley ; but how about her hull design / sailing capacity / high mast version vs standard version and old age problems ????

Appreciate any input,

Andrea & Eric.

search this forum for "Nautitech" you will find a thread on Nautitech 44.

General concerns - helm position, no visibility to opposite corner and highly exposed position

Anchor position on port bow is a problem - damage to bow, location of chain/weight etc.

At the price you suggest you will not find too many. I saw a 40 in Martinique which was somewhat neglected. I did not like the helm protection and the boat needed some work. I opted for a newer 441 and yet I plan to add some sturdy handrails on the path from the cockpit to the helm. As stated above search Nautitech in this thread for what has already been discussed
