My new solar panels,

Today I finally connected my new El Cheapo Chinese Solar panels on my Gemini Catamaran, And they are working with no battery connected,
They cost me $324-00 delivered,
2 X 250 Watts X 12 volt panels, = 500 Watts Total,

The sky was very overcast just before it got dark and no sun,
It was almost raining and very cold,

I was getting 17.68 volts on the multimeter.
That Led light is actually working, Not very bright, But it was on,
I am quite impressed with them,
Thats another job almost completed,
Its connected to a double pole switch from the panels, So I can flick the switch to work on the batterys and its totally off,
The other side of the switch will take the wind genny leads, Both can be turned off at the same time,
I still have to put the 40 amp controller and 30 amp fuse in between the switch and the battery,

Re: My new solar panels,

Nice. I still get a kick out of looking at my battery monitor and seeing amps going into my system. It's addictive.
