motive trimarans, cf and beach cat style

are cool trimarans, been looking at this and other carbon beach cats. Any one have more info on motive?

looks like heaps of fun and a great design with the built in tents

am i right in thinking this would be a flat water tri only? i can imagine it would be pretty easy to pitch pole in a swell looking at how far the leeward ama gets into the water at speed...

That's a good question.. Also not sure on the "modern" bow shapes and their 'wave piercing' ability as stated in the video, gotta look in to that. My Hobie tandem island ama actually submerges sometimes but the mainsail shape helps prevent pitch pole I think, by spilling air.

It's a performance oriented beach boat. You can bet your backside it'll pitch pole if driven into a wave. But that's where skill at the helm takes over.
