You must get supplied from a different IKEA factory over there.

Sigh.

I've looked everwhere through my local IKEA and can't find a Prout Snowgoose anywhere..!!

Or any other kind of multihull for that matter.

What I was really after was a Farrier 32 in a particular shade of white, with some red go-fast stripes on the side and a square-topped main. Preferably pre-assembled, no Allen-key required....

To be frank, there was even a shortage of mono-sleds the day I was there, as I couldn't find any of those either..!!

Re: Modernizing a Prout Elite 37ft

more bits from the IKEA factory.........

I made up the drawers in the workshop to fit under the galley and nav side worktops.

I fitted the laminated backing panel that I made up in november to cover the under deck and hull areas and hold the insulation in place in the galley.

fitted 0.9mm aluminium backing sheet in the cooker recess as a heat and liquid shield.

I also have Perspex on order for the sliding doors, and formica for the worktops which should arrive next week, then be machine cut on a cnc router table.

Alex. Is coming together well. The longevity is in the detail. Worth the extra time to get it right.

bootiful job. When I fit drawers, I leave the middle screws out of the runners and this eliminates sticking and binding. Just a tip...

I am hoping to get away without using runners, will see how it goes once the drawer front facia is attached and stop at the back.
still got 18mm space either side if they are needed.

Pity shipping is so damn expensive... I've got a ridiculous amount of high end drawer slides sitting around collecting dust...

You have a 48ft boat, it's not that far, across the pond

Current tankage of 240g (910L) inadequate...

60' mast is 12' too short... must combine with one of 3 original sections, 14', 21', or 37' (background behind truck)... Saving up for duct tape...
