Well here we go my final shortlist of boats that i am seriously researching for our hop away.
1st A well cared for Catana 411 (although galley down would be my preference)

2nd Lagoon 41

3rd Leopard of around 40'

WE have around £150 to spend there are just 2 of us

Out of those I have only sailed on a BB385, Lagoon 380 and a Lagoon 410, loved the 410, roomy, easy to handle, good performance for it's size a very forgiving cat.
The 380 was really nice but a bit slow.
The BB385, not bad performance but I thought it was cramped, the cockpit was badly designed and I didn't like the rigid fore deck.
And if you can find a couple of 410's for £150 let me know, but I assume you mean £150,000.00

Comes down to personal preference, all good boats (the Wharram is different though, a real 'heart vs head' choice ~ I would have loved one....... about 30 years ago )
My personal choice is galley-up. Having lived with it for 5 months now it's great for entertaining, good view for the cook & in my case single-handing I can sail and keep a foreward lookout at the same time. Also possibly less motion. Normally for the first 12 hours at sea I find it difficult to go below, for the next 12 I can dive below and make a sandwich. So far, galley up, I've not had that problem. Comes down to personal preference, but maybe worth a thought?
