Looking for Multihull

Does anyone out there know of a bluewater-capable multihull for sale, under $150K? We live in Florida and the boats seem to either be in the Carribean or in Mexico ...not our very first choice. We are open as to cat or tri, it just needs to be safe, fast, etc....the usual! Son just graduated - so we can GO. Thanks!

This a link for a Lagoon 37 that is in Brunswick, GA. I own a Lagoon and would be glad to forward what I found on the boats when we bought ours. They are definately a bluewater boat.
Send me a PM or e-mail and I will send what I have.

There are two Polynesias listed in Florida. Don't know anything about these boats in general or particular:

I too am looking for my first catamaran. The Lagoon 37 you talked about was one I found and am seriously considering. Would it be possible to be included on your mailing list for the information you found while searching for your boat.

Thanks,

Wharram Pahi 42's go for around $60k, Brown searunner 37/40 for about the same. Leaves you $90K for beer and tortillas.

Still Searching...

Thanks, guys, for your info. We are RVing all over FL and then plan to go north if we don't find anything here. We looked at a Polynesia, and frankly, it was waterlogged, the windows - which don't open - were leaking, and all in all, the boat was quite disappointing.
If anyone hears of anything else, please post?! Thanks!

I looked at this Admiral last January. The hull did not seem to be in bad shape, but the interior needed to be completely gutted. It has a huge volume of space and is a 4 cabin 2 head model.

I ended up with a voyage 38 whichis slightly smaller and has 3 cabins instead.

It could be agreat boat at the right price for someone wanting to be an interior decorator.

Thank you so much for the info. We are RV'ing in Florida but will be heading up to GA after that, so we hope to see the Lagoon. We find we are going up into a higher and higher price bracket, but the Lagoon does look wonderful. Thanks again.

I also own an older Lagoon... purchased it 7 years ago in the price range you're looking at. I did put a lot of work into her, but am very satisfied. We sailed her from Florida to California, then back to Mexico an can vouch for her seaworthiness. Sure, we'd like a Gunboat, but for the money, time and effort, we're happy.

Cruising Cat For Sale

This might interest you...

We have a one of a kind, 38-foot cedar hull cat for sale in Hawaii.

She has a 50-foot rotating wing mast, teak decks, wood interior, retractable rudders and daggerboards and plenty of deck space.

She is light, strong and fast.

Only draws 16-inches with all daggerboards and rudders out of the water. Shallow water anchorages and beaches are fully accessible.

She is a proven open ocean cruiser and liveaboard.

Maximum speed: 20 knots on a flat sea; 8 knots on the wing mast alone (no sails).

Safe: Family of 5 cruised on her for over a year and crossed to Hawaii.

Fun and beautiful. The boat is unique and can safely be called a work of art. Contact us for pictures and see for yourself.

We are also in your price range.

Please email us directly at: uniquecat999@hotmail.com

The hardest part of the Pacific crossing has already been done...smooth sailing from Hawaii onwards!

We are the owners, and not brokers/dealers.

Thank you.

Somehow I don't think people interested in a Lagoon would be interested in a fastcat fastcat.
