I would have liked to see how it performed in a bit more wind.

A bowsprit for the gennaker/spinnaker would also be nice to have for light winds.
Is that offered as an option from the factory?

Me too, but regarding the bow sprit I have just read in this months Multihulls World (French Mag) about a new (I think) kit folding and moveable bow sprit at www.forespar.com prices would be useful and interesting.
I know that you Alan were curious about this type of bow sprit.
Does anybody know if they come in different lengths and what are the prices? (Too lazy to send an email myself)

bowsprit

hello Forum,

My name is Peter Wiersema, one of the Leopard sales agents in Ft Lauderdale.
I have included some pictures that I made last weekend when we did seatrials on a 2009 Leopard 46' here in FL.
This yacht has upgraded sails as well as a bowsprit (Sparcraft).
These are not factory options, but can be ordered directly from Quantum and Sparcraft.
We did 8.5 knots in 11 knots of true wind @75 degrees, flat sea, loaded boat with all the gear.
This Leopard 46' as well as at least one other will participate in the cruising catamaran class at the 2009 Antigua race week.
regards, Peter

Hey cata, nice pictures sir. do you happen to know if there will be any leopards at the annapolis boat show next week? My dad has to go to baltimore next week for a buisness thing that they have and I'm sending him with a camera and some film, plus a video camera, because he said he will try to get me some pictures of the show.
