I am planning to take her overseas in three years. I aim to have a flexible work arrangement then and will spend time on her cruising various spots. I felt if I did not take the plunge I would never get to that stage.

Maverick has to be using your boat for their brochure. It's awesome. The mood lighting really is cool. If we ever chance upon eachother in open seas I'm not even going to try to race. Congratulations and enjoy.

slamming ?

Hi Paul,
Your bridgedeck clearance seems to be on the low side on some photos (and you measured it at 72-75cm unloaded). Slamming (= ) is not often discussed, but can turn cruising into a painful experience. Have you had a chance to sail offshore ?

The measurements were taken with 200l diesel and about 200l of water, all safely equipment, pots, pans, plates, etc, etc. There were also 8 adults onboard.

As far as the other boats which are heavier they have not had any issues with slamming, (SA to Holland, CT to Durban and back, up and down the Westcoast and CT to Dubai). In speaking to the skippers it was never a problem.

The pictures were taken with 500l water and 450l diesel.

Hi Paul,

Was at the boat show this morning and had went and had a look at Catarina, and I must say it is absolutely stunning, finishes are superb as well.
