Launch of Atlantic 48 Catamaran

"YouNevaKnow" a Chris White designed catamaran was launched at RCYC Capetown 29th September 2010. It boasts a carbon fiber mast, cuban sails, and kevlar stays. Owners Neil and Kerry plan on sailing her slowly back to Sydney Australia via the Caribbean, the Med and the Pacific - may take a while!

Looks beautiful! That's my "win the lottery" boat. How was the experience building/commissioning in SA while in Australia?

That's my dream boat as well. I admire your fortitude in taking on a custom build....would love to know more about how that went. It seems that we only hear the stories of problems and pain.

With that high tech rig performance is obviously important to you. Have you considered a big kite for offwind performance when the surface winds are light?

Congratulations!

I might see you in the Caribbean if you are heading there later this year.
