Lagoon 380 Hard Bimini ?

i am interested in the lagoon 380 due to it's space, size, safe sailing ability and most of all the reasonable cost for what you can buy. what i HATE about the boat is the small soft woosy bimini.
anyone have one they converted or have some great ideas of ways to purrfect this fun multi? i know that the newest addition of the 380 has finally wised-up and installed a hard bimini but i don't have the duckets for such a fix.
thanks for all the great threads and posts, i have learned a lot from all of those savvy contributing sailers out there. i hope to be at that level someday soon!

Try looking at the Lagoon owners group at Yahoo.com. There are many pictures of owners upgrades

We have a great hard top bimini on our Lagoon 380. It is very sturdy and is made of aluminum, complete with a sliding door over the helm seat. It allows us to stand on top and we often use it as an additional seating area (the view is great up there). But the best part about it is the weather protection that it offers while cruising (especially under way). We also like our dodger windows, which are made of a hard plastic by EZ2CY.

It was installed by the first owner in North Carolina at Triton Marine Services in Boufort, NC. Click here to see pictures of our boat and the hard top:
