Ladyhawke 37 cabrio

Hi Everyone

I am new to this forum. I hope that someone in here can help me out. I am looking to buy a 35-40” cat. I have been intrigued by the ladyhawke 37 cabrio which is not too expencive as an used boat. Looking at the data it should be a good cruising cat. But I am unable to find any test/review of the boat. Anyone whos got first hand knolledge of this cat?

Or if you know other open cats in similar size I would appreciate som feedback. I don’t find a wide selection of open deck catamarans. Most of the cats look like caravans. And I am sure the performance suffer under the weight.

I eventually want to take the boat on an extencive cruise. But I don’t see the point of dragging a huge bridge-deck cabin along. I have been sailing monohulls all my life in Scandinavian. And that means sitting in the cockpit with only a sprayhood. Ones I move the boat to a warmer climate I prefer to be outside with only some shade for the sun.

Re: Ladyhawke 37 cabrio

We looked at a Ladyhawke 37 a few years ago. Really liked the layout and ease of sailing in the cockpit, didn’t care for the diesels and saildrives. The interior to me was really cramped and not laid out well.
There’s a Shuttleworth 35 for sale in England that may work for you. Also possibly a TRT 1200 GT would work if you could find one.

Yes. Thank you. Exactly the kind of boat that I like. I thought about the Broadblue. I really like the layout. But I am not so sure of the performance capability. But I found A place in Marseille where I ca rent one to test is myself.

I really like the Rapier as well as this cat

But wouldn't really consider them open bridge deck.

Re: Ladyhawke 37 cabrio

The andaman is a very good option. (My all time favorite is 11.8 Stealth. But it is too expencive for me. But this seems to be as close as you get). It certanly has that open-cockpit feeling. Good weight-to-sail ratio. Great boat versus price. Just need to check the blue water capability. Graet input. Thanks Smj.

P. S. Also I’m quite intrigued by the Shuttle 35 tek.

Another great cat. Good looking cockpit. I’m not sure about the performance though.
