Re: La Grande Motte

Mike & others lucky enough to be at La Grande Motte. Please post photos of the interiors when you go to see the Privilege boats. The Series 4.9 and 5 are there, I believe, and they are supposed to have new interiors...would like to see pictures and hear your impressions of the new design.

Same goes for any other new designs you see.

Hope you have a wonderful show

Re: La Grande Motte

Can't wait to see inside the Privilege 4 & 5! On the height of Catana 59 hulls, I felt the same about the Outremer 5X - my hubby would love to jump off the bow of the 5X into the water, but for me, it felt too high.

Also had a good look at the Privilege boats. They are beautifully designed and put together. Anybody comment on the performance?

Re: La Grande Motte

I did not feel the 5x was so high but the catana 59 she is 7 feet to 8 feet from the waterline to the deck but she is a beutifull boat but to pricey for me ..

Re: La Grande Motte

I was told the performance for the prive are similar to the fp so cruising speed is 6-7 knots according to the sales team there

Hi Mike,

Thanks for the photos of Miss Catana from the show and the video. I will be very interested to see what you end up purchasing. The aim to walk on your boat at next years boat show. We can toast your new girl with Champagne - French off course.

Cheers
the Miss

Re: La Grande Motte

Hi there 'The Miss'

We have just taken delivery of our first ever Cat, a 3 yr old Catana 50. You'll be delighted to hear that whilst learning to drive a cat and to park the thing on the Catana pontoon for the first time ever, I didn't hit your new boat once!

Hi Rob,

That's funny and dlightful news. 50 ft is a big boat! Congratulations & How Exciting. What is your boat called?

I'm strangely glad to hear someone else has purchased a new boat that they can't sail as well as they can drive their car. Unfortunately on my current skills, if your boat is still parked next to Miss Catana and I'm parking, there is a higher than average probability that I could hit your boat. Just warning you early

Seriously congrats on your buy. What are your intentions will you be around the region for long?

the Miss

Re: La Grande Motte

Our boat is called Alia Vita. We met your delivery crew and fed Mike for you! We are back in the UK for a couple of weeks returning to Canet on 20 May. We will be there for a week or so whilst we sort out the last few bits and pieces and then we're off long term cruising.

We will spend this summer in the Med and we are enrolled on the ARC+ for November. Winter in the Caribbean followed by East Coast of the US and back to the Caribbean, Panama, couple of years in the Pacific and that's as far as we've thought.

Rob
