Have a look at this beauty. Though she has some stunning lines, I am still a monogohullous guy.

Never heard of this company. These Catamaran designers sure are figuring out how to make them more pretty!

Re: Knysna 480

That is an nice looking boat indeed, at least on the outside. I walked all over "Flamingo" at the boat show">Miami boat show and I thought the interior was really bad. In fact, a lot of the South African cats had really poorly finished woodwork. Poor joinery of pieces were just filled with putty or silicone. Runs in the clear coat of the wood etc. etc. The Discovery 50 had very nice finish work inside. Lagoons were much better also. The leopard 46 had nice fit and finish if you like plastic laminate all over the boat. Not my choice but at least the fit was good. Just my humble opinion. For the price, I really expected better workmanship.

Re: Knysna 480

FYI, Knysna has been in business for about 10 years. They are one of those small semi-custom builders. I would guess that they build about 1 or 2 boats a year. Obviously a nice design and better lines than a lot of the condomarans and probably faster. I think they have a couple of charter boats in the Indian Ocean Islands. I like it too. BOB

Re: Knysna 480

I was fortunate to be invited aboard the yacht above and as I said, a real beauty. VERY well fitted out and no expense spared in quality workmanship. I believe she is now chartering out of the Virgin Islands. (Not sure if all models come with the tasty red wine I was offered during my visit aboard)
