This particular design was not set up for diesels because of weight and cost, the ability to beach and lift the outboards clear plus the boat was designed to fit into a 40ft container. I have designed a larger version 45ft X 22ft designed for motoring only which can be fitted with two Steyr 165 diesels or two 150hp outboards.Because of the wedge type hull, maximum buoyancy is in the stern 45ftX 22ft (Catamaran berth) Bridgedeck above water 2ft 6inches (800mm) Draft of 600mm or 2ft Weight 10 tonne Motors 2 X 150 hp four stroke outboards OR two Steyr 165 hp diesels Cruising speed of 15 knots maximum of 20 knots 6mm aluminium underwater, 4mm elsewhere Large open plan, above water living area Two full headroom double (4ft 6inches wide) bedrooms Upstairs galley Fridge/ freezer Gas oven and 4 burners Microwave Pantry Large shower Separate toilet Full width aft deck |
