Re: Is this price correct for new sails?

Hi TomFL,
Thanks for the post. We have made quite a few sails for the Seawinds. Vic Mendhlson, of Miami, has won a lot of regattas with our sails on his extended Seawind 1000. Still, I prefer to confirm dimensions from boats to play it safe.
On the Corsairs, I am comfortable using dimensions I have on file as we helped write the class rules for these boats.
Doyle Sails, in Florida, is more expensive than we are but, we spend much less on advertising and have more multihull sails experience. Just look at what sails the top finishing boats in US multihull regattas are using. This will tell you what sails are the fastest. You won't find Mack Sails or Doyle Sails there.

It is true the Hydra Net and Cruise Carbon sails will be about twice the cost of dacron but, will have a much longer performance life. On the smaller multihulls, dacron can be fine. On a 65 ft cat, higher tech materials have a place.

A very good point, that is lost on many people.
