IP Cat vs Catalac vs Prout

It seems, across various forums, there are few positive comments on Island Packet Cats but lots of praise for Catalacs and Prouts. They all seem to have similar design and purpose--heavily and solid, functional, narrow to moderate beam (for a cat). The IP does have a larger middle hull but overall these three cats seems quite similar in design and purpose.

So why are IP Cats generally trashed while Prouts and Catalacs receive lots of positive comments ?
