Inflatable decks for Trampolines

Hi,
I was contacted recently by the inventor of "Yacht Beaches" (large inflatable floating matts for SuperYachts) who wanted to demonstrate a new concept he is producing specifically for catamarans. His concept is a pair of inflatable 'mattresses' that can be placed over the trampolines to create a large, fun entertainment area. So I sent him my boats tramp dimensions and a week later we were out on the local lake here in Croatia filming the "matts" in place. The matts can stay inflated on the tramps or deflated rolled up and stored next to the anchor channel (or folded flat into a storage bag). They can also be used beside or at the back of the boat as a "beach" or hung from the bow rail as a really wide slide. (One person can easily carry them despite them being really strong - think of a really well made Stand Up Paddle board) Sorry if this is reading like an advert: I have no financial/commercial link to the business. Anyway I thought I'd throw up a photo or two here for what its worth.

What do they cost out of interest ?

I wish I could say. At this point I don't know. The video was made to show at a big manufacturers expo in Europe. Having seen the quality of the materials and manufacturing I don't think they will be cheap. I just went online to where the original Yacht Beach is sold and they appear to retail at 4,279 euro for a 4.1m x 2.5m version, so I am guessing it would be in that vicinity.

How small do they roll up to when deflated?

Rolled up they are maybe 400mm (18 Inches) around but could be less with effort to tighten the roll. The pair fold into a bag that's about 2m (6ft) long by 400mm (18 inches) wide and 300mm (12 inches) tall.

Is there a product out like this already? Looks like it might be perfect for the back of a monohull that has no dive platform, something the dog and kids could lay on in between swims.

I cannot see that being worth 4300 euro no matter how much quality is in it, but it sure looks great in the photo's.

This looks kind of similar at a fraction of the cost.

Agree that it is too expensive.

I have been toying with the idea to make a kind of carbon fiber sandwich slats that can roll up like a roller door.... time will tell....

Hi, Just wanted to say that I have no real idea of the final price and was just quoting what the "Yacht Beach" that is already available costs.

When we last went on a cat charter, the capt/owner had a fitted pair of canvas sheets that had wrap around snaps every foot or so that worked great for the littler kids another couple had. While those inflatables look pretty cool, nearly $5 Grand USD is absurd, Imho.

Seems really expensive to me for an high pressure air floor anything.
For a trampoline, I prefer something that provides a solid and comfortable lounge area, without the hassle of having to inflate to use (or take up valuable storage space). I switched from the factory trampoline to a Supertramp from ATN Marine and everyone aboard loves it [much less than the proposed high pressure air floor mattress. Images below].

And, there are lots of options for HP air platforms in sizes big to extra-extra big, for a lot less dough than the proposed transom play areas in your post.
